When I first saw this necklace I was transported back to the 90’s and high school, we wore these choker style. tiffany and co jewelry, necklaces with our baby doll tops and flannel shirts. As so much of the 90’s has returned, and my daughter has taken up a similar style to my own I got this for her to complete the look.
The intricate braided cord makes an almost tattoo style pattern on the neck. There are five hanging chains each with a black bead on the bottom, and four beads hanging down in the spaces between the chains. The overall effect is rather pretty, slightly goth and totally 90’s. The lobster clasp makes it easy to put on and to take off.
The necklace is adjustable from thirteen to fifteen inches by choosing different loops on the chain. Mostly she wears it casually but I think it would also work with one of her many black dresses. I love the bit of nostalgia I get from the piece and that she enjoys it so much. The quality is nice, and it seems just as durable as the ones that I still own from high school over a decade ago.
I love the size of the locket and the chain. This really does have that “antique” look about it. If you are wanting more of a silver look, then they also carry it in that color. I like how you can change the scents and colors to go with what you are wearing. This isn’t packaged in a box and comes in a plastic bag. I am still giving it five stars because of the cost, quality, how pretty it is and just how well it works.
